Napa Home & Garden recalled about 460,000 bottles and jugs of gel fuel utilised to light decorative firepots, due to fire and burn hazards.

The Georgia-based company recalled its pourable NAPAfire and FIREGEL gel fuels simply because they&rsquove been linked to 37 incidents, including 23 burn injuries, involving buyers in recent months. Firepot lawyers have been assisting victims with their potential claims for injuries suffered from the use of exploding firepots.

The Consumer Item Safety Commission announced they had launched in May 2011 an investigation into the incidents. Buyers have reported that the gel fuels can ignite unexpectedly and splatter onto people and objects nearby when they are poured into a nonetheless-burning firepot. Individuals that have suffered injury from an exploding firepot may be able to pursue a Firepot lawsuit.

The gel fuels are clear and pourable, and are sold in non-scented and citronella scents. They were packaged in clear 1-quart plastic bottles and 1-gallon plastic jugs at retailers such as Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Shopko, Restoration Hardware, and house and garden retailers nationwide.
